Welcome, we hope you have a fantastic stay with us
The tropical region of Mackay is making a name for itself as a major tourist destination in Northern Queensland.
Situated around halfway between Brisbane and Cairns, there are plenty of things to do and see in and around Mackay - a city of almost 100,000 people.

Mackay is a nature-lovers dream.
Did you know Mackay has one of the last true ‘blue water rivers’ left in Australia? A visit to Pioneer River is a must when exploring Mackay. Not to mention the countless paradisiacal beaches that dot Mackay’s coast. Be sure to check out Blacks Beach, which is Mackay’s longest beach stretching 6 km in length. You also can’t go past a visit to Eungella National Park (Pioneer Valley) - an oasis of waterfalls, lush flora and native Australian wildlife.

If you’re more of a city-slicker, the heart of Mackay has plenty for you to see and explore.
Such as the award-winning Artspace Mackay, which features various exhibitions, historical displays and activities for the whole family. Also located in the city-centre is Bluewater Lagoon, which is the perfect place for kids (and adults) to run amok and cool down in the warm weather. While you’re there, take a visit to Orchid House, which features hundreds of varieties of orchids. Don’t forget to stop by Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens, too.

For those of you who enjoy an active-holiday, there’s not shortage of adventures for you.
From countless walking trails, to the Mackay Golf Club and Mackay Water Ski Club, plus countless of other adventure sites like GoWake Cable Park and the new Sugar Bowl Skate Park you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to keeping fit and active while exploring Mackay. The region of Mackay also has some of the best fishing spots in Australia, with commercial fishing boats running each day from the marina. There truly is something for everyone!
